About the Role
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and drive SawitPRO's commercial strategy, focusing on Customer research, customer prospecting and growth marketing for both B2B and B2C Customers of SawitPRO. There are 3 types of B2B customers of SawitPRO - crude palm oil mills, fresh fruit bunch suppliers and industry partners. B2C customers include individual players like smallholder plantation farmers, harvesters, drivers, etc. Finally, partners include players like Toko Tani, etc
Develop and execute a comprehensive customer demand generation strategy that aligns with SawitPRO's mission to create win-win-win for people, planet and prosperity through enhancing palm oil farming and business practices and increasing productivity of all its stakeholders
Through in-depth research, learn the motivation levels of each different type of customer, their pain points, business opportunities and growth prospects.
Be the in-house champion of all different types of customer personas, their pain points, motivations and business opportunities.
Design different types of customer experiences for each customer type through a combination of SawitPRO products like mobile apps, eCommerce, etc combined with SawitPRO services like loyalty programs, etc.
Head and participate in the different marketing campaigns and activities
Guide and collaborate with the social media teams for online marketing activities, online presence of SawitPRO and digital marketing
For offline marketing events, come up with creative and innovative ways to attract customer acquisition and revenue through excellent event management
Champion all the press releases on behalf of the company to showcase our collaboration with the industry, academic, investors
Cross team collaboration across product, sales, operations, marketing and technology to promote good understanding of the customer
Be an ecosystem builder
Role of the Head, Demand Generation
Strategy & ideation – The person responsible has to develop the overall strategy and ideas behind the company's Sales and customer management strategy
Team management – Lead a team of collaborators and contributors for delivering on all aspects of the business development and customer management
Leadership – demonstrate leadership by coming up with innovative ideas as well as by building and managing a high performance team
Customer Research – Manage customer research of 3 distinct types of customers - Palm Oil mills, mill FFB suppliers / agents, Palm oil players like Toko Tanis, community partners like Toko Sembako, associations, GAPOKTANs, etc.
Branding, Marketing and PR - Focus on both customer acquisition and retention through a Branding, Marketing and PR strategy. Manage all online presence
eCommerce and Loyalty - Develop service and experience portfolio to augment SawitPRO products and services to deliver an integrated customer experience
Execution KPIs – clearly define execution goals and KPIs to deliver on the experience portfolio of the organization
Senior Management collaboration – work closely with senior management including the CEO, head of product, head of engineering, etc. to deliver on the strategic business outcomes including owning financial KPIs and human KPIs
P & L - Manage revenue and costs generated from the customer base
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or Marketing discipline is required.
Experience
Min. 8 years’ experience working in business management, customer service, growth, sales, etc. in driving digital adoption among customers with independent P&L responsibilities
Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
Experience in innovating business models and developing new channels, business models or business transformation
Experience in consumer industries like fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer banking, digital insurance, FinTech, sharing economy, etc. is preferred
Proven track record of program management from ideation to implementation of business transformation through digitalization
Palm oil industry knowledge would be helpful
Knowledge/Skills
Deep understanding of people and their motivations and behaviours
Strong research and customer persona development skills
Strong business acumen, including domain-specific knowledge of the manufacturing and resources companies and their business units
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
Must be a passionate human being with strong idealism and vision for a brighter future of Indonesia
