About the Role
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
Build and optimize database systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
Partner with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and implement solutions
Set up and maintain data quality controls and monitoring systems
Create dashboards and reports for business intelligence and data visualization
Develop and maintain clear data documentation and schemas
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with ETL tools
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Proficiency in database technologies (relational and NoSQL)
Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts
Experience with business intelligence tools
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field
Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Proficiency with BigQuery and PostgreSQL database systems
Experience using Redash for data visualization and query building
Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook for data exploration and prototyping
Hands-on experience with Google Looker Studio for dashboard creation
Knowledge of machine learning pipelines
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
